i love orange chicken. so, now that i rarely eat chicken, i was totally psyched to learn about this recipe from a post on ravelry: Orange Chicken Style Tofu
i chopped up red, yellow, and green peppers and sauteed them with the tofu ...
... and sliced off a small piece of orange peel, chopped it up, and sauteed it with the garlic & green onion.
other revisions:
tripled the amount of orange juice.
used more cornstarch than called for.
spooned the final result over brown rice; the verdict: very tasty. and - bonus! - super easy to make. this will definitely be making a second appearance in my kitchen.

ooo, that sounds awesome! i'll have to give it a try!

Okay, Sharon, I will admit that I have never tried tofu. I would like to but I'd rather it be a "sampling" for my first time b/c I don't want to order a meal of it at a restaurant until I know I like it. LOL This does look good!! So is tofu something you have to sort of learn to like or acquire a taste for?

good call, leslie - i agree, try it at home first to see what you think. the fantastic thing about tofu is that it takes on the flavor of what's around it, which makes this an excellent first-time recipe!
